Pedestrian safety is becoming a global concern and an understanding of the contributing factors to severe pedestrian crashes crucial. This study analyzed crash data for San Antonio, TX, over six-year period understand effects pedestrian–vehicle crash-related variables on injury severity based party at fault identify high-risk locations. Bivariate analysis logistic regression were used most significant predictors crashes. High-risk locations identified through heat maps hotspot analysis. A failure yield right way driver inattention primary Fatal incapacitating risk increased substantially when was fault. The strongest include lighting condition, road class, speed limit, traffic control, collision type, age pedestrian, gender pedestrian. downtown area had highest density, but hotspots outside area. Resource allocation locations, reduction in upgrade facilities high activity areas, educational campaigns targeted audiences, implementation more crosswalks, refuge islands, raised medians, use leading interval hybrid beacons are recommended.
